What are the Terminologies For Servo Control System?

A servo control system is used to precisely follow or reproduce a process. It is an operating system that can automatically control the mechanical movement of a test device according to predetermined requirements. In many cases, the servo system refers exclusively to a feedback control system in which the controlled quantity (the output of the system) is a mechanical displacement or displacement velocity or acceleration, and its function is to make the output mechanical displacement (or angle of rotation) accurately follow the input displacement (or angle of rotation).

Such as air defense radar control is a typical servo control process. It is the target in the air for the input command requirements, the radar antenna juggling has been tracking the target, for the ground battery to provide target orientation. Machining center machinery manufacturing process is also a servo control process, displacement sensors constantly transfer the displacement of the tool feed to the computer, by comparing the target with the processing position, the computer output to continue processing or stop.

The vast majority of mechatronics systems have servo functions, mechatronics systems in the servo control for the actuator to realize the movement according to the design requirements and provide control and power of the important links. Not only do we know what is a servo system, but we also need to understand some terminologies of a servo control system.
  1. Hydraulic servo control system. Hydraulic servo control system is based on the motor to provide power, the use of hydraulic pumps will be converted into mechanical energy pressure to promote the hydraulic oil. Through the control of a variety of valves to change the flow of hydraulic oil, thus promoting the hydraulic cylinder to make different strokes, different directions of action, to complete a variety of equipment, different action needs. Hydraulic servo control system in accordance with the deviation of the signal to obtain and transfer the different ways are divided into machine-liquid, electric-liquid, gas-liquid, etc., of which the application of more machine-liquid and electric-liquid control system. According to the different controlled physical quantities, the hydraulic servo control system can be divided into position control, speed control, force control, acceleration control, pressure control and other physical quantity control. Hydraulic control system can also be divided into throttle control type and volume control type. In mechanical equipment, mainly organic - liquid servo system and electric - liquid servo system.
  2. AC servo control system. AC servo control systems include AC servo systems based on asynchronous motors and AC servo systems based on synchronous motors. It has a series of advantages in addition to good stability, good speed and high precision. Its performance index can be measured in terms of speed regulation range, positioning accuracy, speed stabilization accuracy, dynamic response and operation stability.
  3. DC servo control system. The operating principle of DC servo control systems is based on the laws of electromagnetism. Associated with the electromagnetic torque are two variables independent of each other, the main magnetic flux and the armature current, which control the excitation current and the armature current, respectively, and allow for easy torque and speed control. On the other hand, from the control point of view, the control of DC servo is a single-input single-output single-variable control system, and the classical control theory is fully applicable to this kind of system, so it has occupied a dominant position in the feed drive of CNC machine tools by virtue of its simple control and excellent speed regulation performance.
  4. Electrohydraulic servo control system. Electro-hydraulic servo control system it is a kind of feedback control system composed of electric signal processing device and hydraulic power mechanism. The most common are electro-hydraulic position servo system, electro-hydraulic speed control system and electro-hydraulic force (or torque) control system.
